(c.1170 - 1230)

Troubadour, who travelled to Italy and went on the Fourth Crusade. Seventy of his poems and fourteen melodies survive. His planh,or lament, for Richard I of England is the only surviving example of this type of troubadour song written on the death of a friend or patron.
