Engardus [Egardus] (Johannes Ecghaerd)

(c1340 - ?)

Franco-Flemish composer active in Bruges in the 1370s and '80s, holding chaplaincies in Dixmuide and Bruges. He may have been one of the musicians in the papal court of Bologna c. 1410. Strohm suggests that Egardus may have been in Padua before his time at the papal court in Bologna, c. 1400-1410.
