Italian theorist, brother of Giacomo Fogliano . Sang in the Papal chapel in 1513-14 and was later choirmaster at Modena cathedral. His treatise Musica theorica (1529) came close to propounding just intonation; he also wrote psalms and a quodlibet containing several Italian popular tunes.
