Ludwig Daser

(c.1525-1589)


German composer. Became court Kapellmeister at Munich in 1552, but was pensioned off in 1559 to make way for Lassus; took up a similar post in Stuttgart in 1572. He published a Passion in 1578, and left MSS of many Masses, motets and German sacred songs, and two cycles of Mass Propers.
