Brewster [Brusser, Bruster, Brusters]

(flmid- 16th century)

English composer. Brewster wrote two In Nomines; one in five parts, and one in four parts. A pavan for lute is found in the Middleton Lutebook and another source. It has been speculated that he was related to a William Brewster (?1560 -1644), one of the chief founders of New Plymouth.
