Francesco Della Viola

(beg. 16th century - 1568)



Italian composer, possibly related to Alfonso Della Viola. He worked in Modena, Ferrara and possibly Venice before returning in 1559 to the Ferrara court as maestro di cappellain succession to Rore. A disciple of Willaert, whose Musica Novahe edited in 1558, he published his own 4-part madrigals in 1550.
