Italian composer, not related to Orazio Vecchi. Maestro di cappellaat S. Maria della Scala in Milan from at least 1590, and published many volumes of church music, including Masses with basso continuo,psalms and spiritual madrigals, some of which went into several editions. Among the spiritual madrigals are more than twenty adaptations to sacred texts of secular pieces by composers such as Merulo, Palestrina and Wert.
