What incredibly
beautiful music. It's such a lovely way to start the week. I tuned in quite by
accident in 1993 and have been listening ever since. I can't begin to tell you
how much enjoyment I've derived from your wonderful program. Your selections
never fail to uplift and soothe; your commentary is equal parts enlightenment
and entertainment. Thank you so much!

What a delight!
I awoke to Holborne's Fantasia #3 -- the very one I was practicing just
yesterday. The elegance, humor and grace of the host, paired with an abundance
of wonderful early music, ushers in each Sunday morning on a beatific note.

We bought 2 lute

static. The John Johnson, Paul Odetts CD, a compendium of previously recorded
music, was wonderful. Thank you for introducing us to his music. I am now
looking for some sacbutt music. Robert

HOASM is - so free of cant, so just what it is - nobody trying to persuade you
to feel, think anything, simply this music thoughtfully presented with so much dignity,
intelligance, and care being placed in context. What a model for the world!

recommend it to everyone who is interested in early music for a deeper

I have a website
with many ogg files of music from the Baroque time. "ogg" is a mp3
like format, however, ogg is a totally open source format (no fees) and for
classical music ogg offers much better quality than mp3 ever could. However,
since ogg isn't yet "mainstream" playing ogg files can still be
tricky. Winamp 2.8 works with ogg (but Winamp 3 doesn't work) and foobar2000 works
very well too. site -- http://cuba.calyx.nl/~oink/ogg/ Happy listening and let
me know your opinion! boink. p.s. I'm very grateful for HOAS. I don't know of
any musical programme anywhere with this quality.
